Double your impact for land and water.
The first $50,000 in donations will be matched dollar for dollar today!

Investing in our future.
Our children and grandchildren will inherit the lands and waters we rely on today, and it's up to us to decide what legacy we leave them. Thanks to your care, McKenzie River Trust has protected more than 10,000 acres of land in Oregon, from the Cascades to the central coast. Across watersheds, we've planted more than one million shrubs and trees, restored over 25 miles of salmon-bearing streams, and connected thousands of people to our work through volunteering and community education.
Now, we're doubling down on our commitment to nurturing these places for years to come. In that spirit, partners Anice Thigpen and Andrea Halliday and Business Supporter Ancora Publishing have stepped forward to double your donation by matching every dollar given, up to $50,000, this Earth Day.

Earth Day Match Donors
“We believe in the work of McKenzie River Trust. Every person we’ve met on the team feels like a real person with real capacities, empowered by the mission. The dollar value is clear, and the results of contributions are tangible. These are real places in our community that are now protected forever.”

"At Ancora, we strive for excellence in all we do.
Helping McKenzie River Trust do the same is an honor."
"We trust that our donations make a difference because we know McKenzie River Trust staff and we know they use research-based best practices and practical approaches to create the kind of healing and positive changes that we all want to see in our natural world."
Matt Sprick, Ancora Publishing CEO

Protected lands in the Yaquina Estuary transferred to McKenzie River Trust.

In 2021, we expanded our work into Lincoln County to help safeguard this special area on Oregon's central coast. Now, we’re carrying forward the good work of the Central Coast Land Conservancy and expanding impact across the Yaquina River watershed.
Cooperation strengthens conservation in Oregon's working forests.

We recently completed the purchase of 175 acres of high-priority habitat from Weyerhaeuser. This successful protection story reflects the strength of thoughtful collaboration between conservation organizations and industry partners as we work to protect special places for Oregon’s communities.
A Conservation Easement helps ensure a future for working lands in the Long Tom.

Thanks to the care of local landowners Trey and Tammie Hagen, 150 acres of riparian habitat and working lands, including approximately 45 acres of farmland and 50 acres of timber, were permanently protected in March 2025 through a working lands conservation easement with McKenzie River Trust.
